Common questions
The hatch didn't arrive with the app closed
Open Settings, Notifications, Tick Tock Egg, and make sure notifications and Time Sensitive are on. If a Focus is on, allow Tick Tock Egg in it. For the lock-screen countdown, turn on Live Activities in the same place.
There's no sound or voice
In the app, the sound follows the silent switch, so your music keeps playing and a silenced phone stays quiet. Check the switch and the volume, then Hatch sound in the app's grown-up settings (the gear).
I bought the unlock but it looks locked
Tap the gear, then Restore purchase. This works on a new phone, and for family members through Family Sharing, as long as they're signed in to the App Store with their own Apple ID in the family.
How do I stop or pause a timer?
Hold the small button in the corner of the running screen for a second. Quick taps are ignored on purpose, so a curious kid can't stop the egg.
Can I keep my kid inside the app?
Yes. Turn on Guided Access in Settings, Accessibility. Then triple-click the side button while the egg is running.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and choose the purchase.
