A visual timer for kids

Waiting is easier when something is about to hatch.

The egg wobbles, cracks at half time, and at zero a surprise animal pops out. It still hatches on the lock screen when the app is closed.

Hatches with the app closed

Lock the phone or hand over the iPad for another app. The egg counts down on the lock screen, and the hatch arrives right on time.

Says it out loud

"You did it! It's a fox! Brush teeth, done!" Kids who can't read yet still hear what they did.

Calm on purpose

No red, no buzzer, no alarm-clock noise. The end is a celebration. A softer night look for bedtime, and Reduce Motion is respected.

Three taps for the grown-up

  1. Pick a time, from 1 minute up to 2 hours, and add a label if you like ("Brush teeth").
  2. Tap Start. Nothing on the running screen reacts to a stray tap; pause and stop need a short hold.
  3. At zero the shell breaks and someone new says hello. They stay until your kid taps them.

Parents use it for brushing teeth, bedtime, tidy-up, screen time and the wait before leaving the house. Therapists and teachers use it with the kids they work with.
