The Tick Tock Egg app collects nothing.

No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Nothing about you or your child leaves your device. On the App Store this reads "Data Not Collected".

What stays on your device

To work, the app keeps a few things in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad: the last timer you set and its label, your settings (sound, the bedtime look), which animals have already hatched so the next one is a surprise, and whether the unlock was bought. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

The voice

When the animal hatches, the app reads out the line and your label using the voice built into iOS, on the device. The label is never sent anywhere. The app does not use the microphone.

Notifications and the lock screen

The hatch notification and the lock-screen countdown are scheduled by your device itself. No server is involved, and the app has no server.

Buying the unlock

Apple handles the purchase, Family Sharing and restoring. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers that part.

Children

The app is made to be used by children with a grown-up nearby. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and has no chat, no sharing and no links out of the app within a child's reach. The purchase screen sits behind a grown-up question.

This website

This website, not the app, uses Google Analytics to count visits, and only if you press Accept. It sets _ga cookies and never learns your name or email. Decline and nothing is collected. How Google uses this data.
